MESSAGE FROM HoD
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in the year 2001 offering BE (ECE) program with an intake of 60 students. The intake was increased to 90 students from the year 2006 and further to 120 from the year 2008. The department also conducts two PG Programme, ME (VLSI Design) and M.E (Applied electronics) from the year 2011-12 with an intake of 18 and 24 students respectively.

The department has good infrastructure and is equipped with full-fledged laboratories such as IC & Communication Engineering Lab, Microprocessor & Microcontroller Lab, Devices & Electronics Lab, Optical & Microwave Lab, Electronic Design Automation Lab, Networks & Simulation Lab and Signal Processing and VLSI Lab. The department has faculty members having vast experience in their field. The faculty has succeeded in keeping a lively atmosphere among the students with timely up gradations in the curriculum and innovative teaching techniques. Many of the Alumni are well-placed in reputed organizations like INFOSYS, GE, WIPRO, ADP-Wilco & Polaris etc. Others are pursuing M.Tech., MBA and MS courses in India & abroad

Since the invention of transistor at Bell Laboratories in 1947, the field of electronics has grown exponentially and it continues to grow. From a simple 1-transistor IC, now the field is witnessing million transistor ICs. Similarly, the communication engineering has progressed tremendously from the days of Alexander Graham Bell. Together these two areas touch upon every phase of human life. The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has been consistently working towards the goal to produce highly skilled and scientifically oriented manpower through flexible, adaptive and progressive training programs and a cohesive interaction among the research organizations, academicians and industries.
