Dr.M.Jayaraman has more than 26 years of teaching experience and six years of research experience. He has completed BE Mechanical Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore in the year 1988 and ME Production Engineering from Government College of Technology, Coimbatore in the year 1990. He obtained his Ph.D degree under the faculty of Mechanical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai in the year 2009.

He has published seven papers in peer reviewed International Journals and five papers in National Journals. He has presented 35 papers both in the National and International Conferences. He has received research grants from UGC and AICTE. He has completed three projects sponsored by Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology, Chennai under Students Project Scheme. He has organized four seminars/workshops sponsored by CSIR, AICTE, TNSCST and UGC and two conferences.

He is a member of Institution of Engineers (India) and Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). His areas of research include Metals joining, metal casting and rapid prototyping. He is the reviewer of various refereed International and National Journals. Eleven research scholars are currently pursuing Ph.D under his guidance.
