• A one day ICMR sponsored national conference was conducted on Molecular Diagnostics in Personalized Medicine on 15.6.2018.
• Value Added Course on LabVIEW for Graphical Programmingwas conducted from 10.5.2018 till 17.5.2018 for the second year BME students
• Valedictory Function of the Association –BIONIKX and BMESI student chapter was held on 27.3.18 . Dr.M.Jayaraman, Principal, VCET was the Chief Guest and gave valedictory address. He distributed the prizes to the winners for various association events organized during the academic year 2017-18.
• National Level Conference on Trends in Engineering Applications NCTEA’18 was organized on 10.3.2018.
• A guest Lecture on Clinical Research Overview and its importance was given by Dr.S.Tiruvalavan, CEO, Dharan Hospital, Salem.He is also the Founder, The Clinic’les.,Salem
• A hands on training programme By Mr.S.Nachimuthu AP/ECE on Introduction to photoshop was conducted on 9.2.18
• A Guest Lecture on Real Life Medicines and Cancer Awareness was held on 9.1.18 by Dr.K.M.Abul Hasan, MBBS.,MS.,FICS.,FIAGES.,MCh, Paediatric Surgery, City Hospital, Erode.
• Intra Dept Paper Presentation on Medical Instrumentation was conducted on 17.2.18.
• A two day ICMR sponsored seminar on Advanced Biomaterials applied in Periodontal Disease Management was organized on 4.1.2018 and 5.1.2018.
• A 3 Day Value Added Course on Introduction to MATLAB for Engineering Students was conducted for the for the Third year students was conducted from 18.12.17 to 19.12.17.
• A 3 Day Value Added Course on Basics of Biomedical Signal Acquisition and Analysis using LABVIEW was conducted for the for the final year students was conducted from 27.11.17 to 29.11.17.
• A 3 Day FDTP on LABVIEW for Biomedical Applications was conducted by Mr.G.Nagarajan, Sr Application Engineer, VI Solutions, Banglore from 15.11.17 to 17.11.17.
• BMESI Sponsored National Seminar on Medical Image Processing & Analysis was held on 10.10.17. Dr.V.R.Vijayakumar, Asso Prof, Dept of ECE, AURC, Coimbatore and Dr.B.PadmaPriya,Associate Professor, Dept. of Biomedical Engineering, PSG College of Technology were the resource persons.
• 14th National Level Technical Symposium “BIOHYPHENZYA-2017” was organized on16.9.17.The Chief Guest was Ms.Sowmya Suresh, Operation Director, HCL Technologies LTD, Chennai.
• Inauguration of the Association-BIONIKX & Guest Lecture on the topic Preventive Cardiology by Dr.D.Kandaswami, MD, DTCD, MNLA,Chairman, Sudha Institute of Medical Science, Erode was held on 11.7.17
