An important constituent of The Indian Red Cross, The Youth Red Cross was started in our institute. It inculcates in the youth, awareness in the area of health, hygiene, civic and human responsibilities, service and spirit of helpfulness to others. This threefold programme consists of (a) Protection of health and life (b) Service to sick and suffering (c) Promotion of national and international friendship to develop the mental and moral capabilities of the youth.
The YRC of VCET organize various projects like Eye camp, First Aid training, Environmental Surveys, visit to orphanages, hospitals, blind schools etc. The focus is always on community welfare.
