Internet & Intranet Facilities
Our college has a dedicated Internet Leased line of 300 Mbps, connected throughout the Campus. Students and faculties are free to access internet after the regular working hours. This helps the students to prepare papers on the latest technologies to be presented in various symposiums and seminars. (24 hours Internet facility is provided) The Intranet allows faculty to post lectures, notes and presentation documents on the college e-portal.
Wi-Fi Campus
Velalar College of Engineering and Technology entered the era of E-revolution by making the entire campus Wi-Fi enabled. The Internet connection is distributed across the college through Wi-Fi networks. The coverage of Wi-Fi is not restricted to class rooms and it extends to all areas including library, conference halls, cafeteria and hostels. Eventually, it enables VCET to switch over to innovative and modern teaching and learning methodologies. The Wi-Fi system has been functioning with 300 Mbps (1:1) leased line connectivity provided by Relience Jio. As Wi-Fi security being an area of concern, the internet is secured with the firewall and web access is monitored by the Squid Server.
