The department has consistently produced University ranks. Many of the Alumni are well-placed in reputed organizations like INFOSYS, G.E., Tech Mahindra, WIPRO, CTS, L&T Infotech, Accenture, Suresoft Systems, Capgemini, IVTL, VI Microsystem, Hexaware technologies, ADP-Wilco & Polaris, etc. Others are pursuing M.Tech., MBA and M.S. courses in India & abroad.
Since the invention of transistor at Bell Laboratories in 1947, the field of electronics has grown exponentially and it continues to grow. From a simple 1-transistor IC, now the field is witnessing million transistor ICs. Similarly, the communication engineering has progressed tremendously from the days of Alexander Graham Bell. Together these two areas touch upon every phase of human life. The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has been consistently working towards the goal to produce highly skilled and scientifically oriented manpower through flexible, adaptive and progressive training programs and a cohesive interaction among the research organizations, academicians and industries.
